| The doll's head, hands and legs are sculpted from air drying clay. The body is made from cloth with iron frames inside the body. She's made in sitting position, her's size is about 60 cm (23 1/2 in.) in sitting position. The doll is dressed in light steel-grey colors. Hers hair is pleated from similar color mohair yarns. Why do I called her "summertime"? One special; summer day we were resting in the beautiful outdoors, the weather was perfect, but there were so many flying insects around us as we tried to relax, but these insects were everywhere, in the air on our food and clothes. Soon after this on our weekend I just saw vision of "Lithuanian summertime doll", smile, smile... The flies are trying to fly with doll's plaits, few of them are sitting on doll's cloth- it looks like the situation talks: " in Summertime everybody wants to catch fun, even flies!" |
