Use yellow and green dough. Roll out small piece of yellow dough to 1/8" thickness and cut to the shape of an ear of corn.
Make small balls of yellow and arrange in rows to cover the shape and look like an ear of corn. Leave a small area on each side of the corn without kernels as a place to add the leaves.
Roll out green dough to 1/8" thickness. With modeling tool cut out 2 leaf shapes. Arrange one leaf up the right side of ear of corn beginning at the bottom along the edge to the top.
Arrange leaf number two so it slightly over laps the first leaf at the bottom of the corn and extends up the left side of the ear of corn..
Gently press the outside edge of the leaves into the outside edge of the corn shape making sure no yellow shows along the outside edges. The leave can be curled back to show the kernels. Set aside to dry.
Draw a "Happy Face" on the ear of corn and glue magnet to the back.
Peas in a Pod:
Green dough. Roll out a small piece of dough to 1/8" thickness and cut a pod shape (a long elipical oval) and set aside.
Make 5 small balls of dough and arrange along the center of the shape.
Fold both edges of pod shape toward the peas (balls) Pinch both the end together to form the pod with the 5 peas showing in the center.. Set aside to dry.
Draw a "Happy Face" on each pea and glue a magnet on the back.
Orange and green dough.
Roll out green dough to 1/8" thickness and cut into strips (use 3 or 5) arrange in a fan shape. Lightly clip both sides of each strip to make feathered leaves.
Using orange dough, shape a carrot. Place the wide end of the carrot over the green "fan" of leaves and gently press in place. Set aside to dry.
Draw a "Happy Face" on the carrot and glue the magnet an the back.
Using these basic instructions you can make a variety of fruits and vegetables in addition to those detailed above. Let the Kid Crafters use their imaginations to make more produce magnets.
